Position: Head of Marketing for New Product Line (Custom Paper Planner)

About This Role:

We are looking for a part-time, self-motivated, fun, and hands-on Head of Marketing to join our team and lead the launch and growth of our new product, which is going to make a big splash in the paper planner market 🙂. It’ll be like working for a startup, with a small team. This new product is beautiful, durable, sustainable, and unique – it’ll be a big deal. The ideal candidate would have a proven track record in social media marketing, influencer marketing, and content marketing. While the position is part-time, it can grow with the product into a full-time position.

Company Background:

Becoming Your Best Global Leadership provides time-management, problem solving, and leadership training to individuals and companies with a focus on corporations (e.g., Clif Bar, Pepsi, Sephora, Dallas Cowboys, Charles Schwab, the NSA, Navy, Air Force, etc.). We developed a great annual planner about 10 years ago, and we get frequent requests for “variations” of these planners. How do you accommodate so many requests and variations? With a custom printed planner that uniquely meets each person’s unique preferences. This new product / product line is tailored to the B2C market with its own social media accounts and site. This will be a fun & exciting journey!

Responsibilities:

  • Upgrade and execute the product line’s social media marketing strategy / UGC strategy
  • Create and distribute quality content (with a small team)
  • Manage and maintain the company’s brand identity, voice, and reputation across online channels
  • Coordinate Influencer marketing and partnerships
  • Encourage and promote UGC and coordinate with the team to oversee community engagement
  • Coordinate with the team to track key data
  • Coordinate with the team on paid ads
  • Coordinate with the team on positioning, branding, packaging, promotions, etc.

* The Head of Marketing can delegate and oversee some of these responsibilities with our BYB team

** Responsibilities can evolve as our marketing evolves

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social media, content, and brand management
  • Proven track record of success in product marketing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and quickly adaptable (e.g., as the team and marketing strategies evolve)
  • Bonus points for experience with influencer marketing and Google Analytics or other analytics tools

In-Person or Remote:

Either way, it’s up to you. We do ask you attend a weekly coordination meeting (offices in Orem by University Mall).

Compensation:

In the spirit of transparency, we’re working on this and open to discussion. The starting compensation package will likely be a base hourly rate (e.g., $25/hr) plus an override and performance bonuses. Anticipate 15-25 hours/week.
